Weekly Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) services Carlebach style with lots of singing start at 6:00pm and last no longer than an hour.
Weekly Shabbat morning services start at 9:30am usually finishing a little before 12:00 with kiddush following.
Children's Shabbat services for ages 3-11 are held on the 1st and 3rd Shabbat of every month (and also any week with a Bar/Bat Mitzvah) from around 10:30 for 45 minutes. Lots of fun with our charismatic shlichim.
If you wish to help in any way in the running of our services, the person looking after the roster of participants is our gabbai, Trevor Corran.
The Rabbi's weekly shiur will continue to focus on the rabbinic saying: "Jerusalem was destroyed because its inhabitants failed to rebuke one another." We shall study and discuss Biblical and Rabbinic sources on rebuke. The shiur will be held at 2 Lempriere Avenue, East St Kilda, at 8pm. New entrants are welcome!
Members had a great time at the swing dance at the Copacabana on July 4, and we're booking a table again for the next session on August 1. Come hear a jazz big band and do some swinging on the dance floor - entry is $20. The concert begins at 1 pm, and an optional dance class ($5) starts at 12:15. On 8 August at 7pm our Kehilah will host a special gathering that will bring together people from a wide and diverse variety of faiths under the one banner of community. This evening will feature guests from the faiths of Baha'i, Islam, Christian Baptist, Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and others. Our guests have been involved in the planning of last year's Parliament of the World's Religions as well as various other interfaith initiatives. Each guest will share personal stories, reflections about their faith as well as how interfaith dialogue and inter-religious understanding can grow into the future.

The AGM will be held Sunday August 15, 7.30pm at B'nai B'rith. Please diarise the date and make every effort to attend. If you are interesting in nominating for a Board position, please contact the office for a nomination form.
A farewell luncheon for the Bandel family will be held at Lincoln at Toorak at 12:30pm on Sunday, August 22.
Note: We are putting together a video presentation, so if you have any photos or video clips of the Bandel family during their time in Australia that you are willing to share, please contact the office by July 16.
We invite you to be involved in K.N. Care, our new initiative which brings together those in Kehilat Nitzan who need help and support with those who are willing to help. We seek caring volunteers who are good listeners and are willing to visit people at home or in hospital, who may be suffering from financial stress, physical or emotional problems +/or isolation .
The Tikkun Olam Committee is pleased to announce that the first group of KN CARE volunteers have completed the training to become confidential Community Visitors and are now available to visit (and support) Kehilat Nitzan members or their families who are in need.. The volunteers are supported by professional advisers and the program is co-ordinated by Rabbi Bandel.

On the first Sunday of each month, both men and women are invited to come and join us for a guided Shacharit service. Learn how to doven a weekday Shacharit. Please bring a friend or family member and help us to complete a minyan for those wishing to say Kaddish.
Services are held at our shule on BB house 99 Hotham at 9.15 am in the Fisher Room. Shacharit service will be followed by some bagels and juice.
