Our wonderful Tikkun Olam volunteers have been very active over the last twelve months, supporting people in so many ways despite the pandemic.

Here are some of the amazing activities our wonderful volunteers have been doing:

Projects with your help

For the next twelve months, we want to carry on doing all of this… and more in 2021/22:

  • Friendship Circle – alleviating isolation and the sense of community exclusion of  children and young adults with special needs
  • Paw Pals – A Mackillop Education Service using trained therapy dogs to assist  children who are currently disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education ∙ Alfred Hospital Neurology Unit – 4 walkers and 100 pairs of grip sole socks ∙ Indigenous Literacy Foundation- providing culturally appropriate books for children  in remote communities.

We are an all-volunteer organisation, and depend entirely on donations from  generous well-wishers, and on the time and dedication of over 100 volunteers.  We are most grateful for the support of our congregants and encourage ongoing  support as there are many more identified areas of need in the wider community  which we would love to address were we financially in a position to do so.
