Writing Our Future: A Sefer Torah for Kehilat Nitzan
Kehilat Nitzan has launched a fundraising drive to bring a new Sefer Torah into our Holy Sanctuary, and we have been delighted with the positive response so far.

The new Torah will be written for us by Ashkelon-based Sofer and Masorti Rabbi Gustavo Suraszki. Resources will also be committed to building a new Ark and providing our congregation with meaningful spiritual, religious and cultural experiences for years to come. Acquiring a new Torah is a truly significant and joyous occasion for every Synagogue. It is an opportunity for us to come together, celebrate our heritage, and contribute to the growth of our congregation.
There is no more meaningful way for your family to commemorate an important Jewish milestone Simcha than having your name associated with the book or Parshah from that event. All donors will be acknowledged in a special dedication ceremony and permanent display when the new Torah is completed. This will be a wonderful event for our entire community and will mark a new stage in our synagogue’s history. Details of opportunities to provide support will be provided over the coming weeks. All donations will be to the Kehilat Nitzan Community Library, which is tax deductible.
