2:00 PM - 5:00 PMKehilat NitzanSolace for Jewish Grief with Sensory Nourishment At this time of struggle, our stress, grief, and disbelief are exhausting our nervous systems. This may impact our health and our relationships, and our reserves of hope may be dwindling. Please join Rabbi Yonatan Sadoff as he welcomes Yael Saar, the creator of the Sensory Nourishment Method for a skill-building workshop that aims to reduce the negative impact of such a prolonged struggle. The Sensory Nourishment method draws from current neuroscience research and the rich Jewish tradition to deliver gentle practices for solace and support for body and soul. It relies on gentle touch, movement, breath, curiosity, and prayer. It is safe and gentle for people of all ages and requires no special equipment, drugs, or supplements. Best of all, it is always within reach: quite literally at our fingertips. We will introduce the concepts and provide time for practice. We will also experiment with “Davka Alchemy”: the process of channeling rage and despair into creative expression and compassion. When: Sunday 19 May from 2.00pm - 5.00pm Where: Kehilat Nitzan This event is a fundraiser for the 25th anniversary of Kehilat Nitzan Registration is required, as well as a Pay-From-the-Heart tuition fee (suggested donation: $90) The skills offered in this workshop can serve you for the rest of your life and are easy to share with family and community.
