Kehilat Nitzan Tikkun Olam PBI Ltd
The object of the Kehilat Nitzan Tikkun Olam Public Benevolent Institution Limited (KNTOPBI) is to provide benevolent relief to people who are:
- homeless
- experiencing family violence
- isolated
- ill
- dependent or have a disability
- new immigrants and refugees in need of assistance,
- bereaved
- members of the community suffering from material loss through natural disasters
- residents in hospices, nursing homes, and hostels
In this capacity, the KNTOPBI has a charitable status with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). According to our status under the ACNC:
- All donations $2 or greater are tax deductible.
- Our programs are limited to the objectives stated above.
- All beneficiaries must reside in Australia.

Directors are appointed by the Kehilat Nitzan Board. The budget for Tikkun Olam programs is also reviewed and approved by the synagogue's board. The Tikkun Olam Board meets every month to review current programs and discuss new ideas. It works closely with Rabbi Sadoff to ensure our programs meet the needs of our members and the broader community. If you would like to get involved, email Fran Feldman.
